How to Bake a Potato in the Microwave
Hi there folks. It's UFO Bob, and I've gotone question for ya. Do you know how to
bake a potato in the microwave?
Now baking a potato in the microwave is reallysimple. You start with a Russet potato,
or as I like to say, “tater”.
Then you wash it thoroughly. After that youpuncture the tater with a fork on all four
sides and ends. This will vent the steam inthe tater and prevent it from explodin’.
Now, using a microwave safe dish, place itin the microwave and cook it for about 5 to 6 minutes.
Next, 'cause it's going to be hot, use a cloth or paper towel and turn it over
and cook it for another 5 to 6 minutes.
Now ya gotta realize that time need to cookyour potato - I mean "tater" - will vary depending
on your microwave’s power and the size ofyour taters.
When your tater is done cookin’ slice itup like this, then season to taste.
You can add salt and pepper, or sour cream and chives.
But personally, I like it with just plainold butter.
